The “King of Kings” movie from Angel Studios is coming to Pittsburgh.
Kids and adults will enjoy this animated story about the life of Christ inspired by Charles Dickens’ storytelling. A group from Zion will attend the showing at AMC Theater South Hills Village on Saturday April 12th at 3:20 p.m.

Vacation Bible School 
Zion Lutheran Church, Bridgeville, PA 
July 7-11, 2025 – 9:00-11:30 
Ages: 4 years old (prior to 9/1/25) through 4th grade

At “Epic Australian Adventure” Vacation Bible School, kids will learn how Jesus calls, leads, teaches, saves, and sends us to share the Good News with others through five exciting Old & New Testament stories that trace God’s epic plan of salvation. Jesus is our Savior and faithful guide, who shows us the right way to go and guides us on the path of truth that leads to eternal life. 

Program Details 

• VBS kids will be organized into either early childhood or elementary crews. Each crew will have 6-10 children per crew and two crew leaders. 

• We'll enjoy Bible stories, crafts, games, snacks and lively music as we celebrate God’s gifts.

Redeemer Lutheran School
Redeemer Lutheran School (RLS) is Pittsburgh's only K – 12th grade Lutheran School. With campuses in Oakmont and Penn Hills, RLS is a ministry of Redeemer Lutheran Church, our sister LCMS congregation in Oakmont. Since 1983, by God's grace the school has grown in enrollment, incrementally adding grades and facilities. The school is in the midst of a capital campaign to build a much-needed gymnasium for sports and recreation opportunities for middle and high school students.

Our Lenten theme is "The Hand of the Lord" from Concordia Publishing House
Whether tightening a bolt, crocheting, or typing on a computer, there is so much that we do with our hands. Our Creator has bestowed on us these amazing instruments, yet all things are the work of the hand of the Lord. Throughout our Lenten mid-week services we will explore the ways in which the hand of the Lord is both Law and Gospel, and how His hand has come to us in Jesus. 

We’ll be reminded that the hand of Jesus has accomplished all that we need. Amazingly, He takes our manipulative, distorted, self-serving hands and restores them into useful hands for His purposes, both to literally use them in service and to make our whole lives into His instruments of witness, service, and praise.

Visitation -- Monday, March 17, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Paul Henney Funeral Home, 5570 Library Rd, Bethel Park  15102.
Funeral -- Tuesday, March 18, 10:00 a.m. at Zion.

Florence Carol (Vaglia) Boehme, 89, of Bethel Park, passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, March 9, 2025. On May 16, 2018, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, George Christian Boehme.
