Installed as Zion Lutheran Church's Pastor on Sunday April 9, 2017 Rev. Dr. Edward O. Grimenstein previously served as the Associate Executive Director of the Office of International Mission at the LCMS in St. Louis, where he oversaw the training, deployment and care of missionaries. He also served as an active duty U.S. Army Chaplain for 7 years, and prior to this served in 2 parishes. He is 49 years old and a 99’ graduate of Concordia Theological Seminary Fort Wayne, IN. Pastor Grimenstein holds a master’s degree in rhetoric and a doctorate in homiletics. He is a national and international presenter in modern homiletics, has written numerous articles on preaching and rhetoric, and has published two books through Concordia Publishing House (A Lutheran Primer for Preaching in 2015 and Speaking Boldly: Sharing God’s Word Every Day in 2020). He has been married to his wife, Tevia, for 25 years and has 8 children ranging in age from 4 to 23 years old. He is originally from Pittsburgh, PA.
