News from the Preschool

Happy New Year from the Preschool!
Three nights, 185 students and over 500 family members in attendance for our Christmas programs back in December … what a fantastic kick - off to the Christmas season. I realize that it’s now February, and Christmas has passed, but I can’t stop thinking about the joy that those little children brought to all who heard them sing, and maybe, just maybe changing some lives.

As a mission of the church, our Preschool has the opportunity to reach, not only the children, but their families and spread the good news of Jesus Christ….and it’s working. As I looked around the pews on Christmas Eve, I noticed a preschool family waving at me. In the following weeks, two more families were waving at me and expressed interest in, not only joining our church, but in having their children baptized, and becoming active members.

Growing the Kingdom is hard work, but never doubt what the Holy Spirit can do. I see it every day, in so many little ways through the eyes of these children. As our registration process has already started for next year, I ask that you continue to keep our school in your prayers, and that the Holy Spirit continue to work through our staff.

If you see some new faces, say “hello” and welcome to Zion!

Blessings in the new year!

Zion Lutheran Church
The heart and soul of our worship is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe God comes to us in worship to forgive our sins, strengthen our faith, and equip us for the challenges and opportunities for the week ahead. Our worship times are 8:00 and 10:30 on Sunday mornings with a Bible Study for adults and Sunday School for children of all ages at 9:30. The Lord’s Supper is celebrated at both services every week. Sunday morning worship is the highlight of the week at Zion Lutheran Church!!! We hope you will be able to join us! Each Wednesday this year (2014), we also have a 7:00 p.m. service. This service is shorter than our weekend service, in order to accommodate families with young children. If you have any questions about our worship, please e-mail or call our Pastor: pastor@zlcb.org 412-667-0967
