Youth Group News!

Hello Zion Youth Families!!

Happy Easter. Christ is risen. He is risen indeed. Allelujah! We had a wonderful celebration over the weekend and good weather to follow this week. It was wonderful to see all of you on Easter Sunday.

Mike and Michele Wallace faithfully served our youth for many years here at Zion. They led countless events, lock-ins, Christmas parties, strawberry dipping Saturdays, bonfires, chili cook-offs, pancake breakfasts, and fundraisers. In addition, they organized and chaperoned our youth at the most recent conventions. However, after careful consideration, Mike and Michele have made the decision to step down as youth group leaders. We thank them immensely for the time they have dedicated to our youth over the years.

The church council recently named Bill Bishop as our youth group representative. Together with Susie, John and Carrie Lemonovich, and Pastor and Tevia Grimenstein, we're ready to relaunch our youth group and get back together again.  We hope you all can join us!!

YOUTH GROUP PIZZA/PLANNING PARTY
Sunday, April 23rd
6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Zion Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall

Dinner, desserts, and drinks will be provided. We'll have a fun activity and short devotion and also spend some time asking our youth to brainstorm some events and fundraisers. In addition, we'll present some initial information about the LCMS Youth Convention in New Orleans in 2024.

Please RSVP to Tevia Grimenstein at grmnstns@live.com so we have an accurate headcount for pizza.  Please take a moment to complete our YOUTH GROUP REGISTRATION FORM and bring it with you to the gathering.  We can't wait to see all of your youth on the 23rd and to spend more time with them in youth group!

 In Christ,
Bill and Susie, John and Carrie, and Pastor and Tevia

Zion Lutheran Church
The heart and soul of our worship is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe God comes to us in worship to forgive our sins, strengthen our faith, and equip us for the challenges and opportunities for the week ahead. Our worship times are 8:00 and 10:30 on Sunday mornings with a Bible Study for adults and Sunday School for children of all ages at 9:30. The Lord’s Supper is celebrated at both services every week. Sunday morning worship is the highlight of the week at Zion Lutheran Church!!! We hope you will be able to join us! Each Wednesday this year (2014), we also have a 7:00 p.m. service. This service is shorter than our weekend service, in order to accommodate families with young children. If you have any questions about our worship, please e-mail or call our Pastor: pastor@zlcb.org 412-667-0967
